I have to be honest. I have always felt the Washington Auto Show came across as low budget compared to NY. The theme this year was “Technology” (autonomous and alternative fuel). I was not terribly impressed and was nursing a cold but snapped a few pics anyways.

The convertible Alfa 4c. It was strange to see the Alfas and Fiats grouped with the Chrysler products.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Alfa’s supposed BMW “M” killer. Good looking car.

The new thing (along with running board projection lights, ugh) is having logos etched into headlight assemblies. The detail was everywhere.

Close-up of the headlamp detail.

I thought the best interior of the day was going to go to the light green Fiat 500. However...

Dat Jag doe! The XJ-L 5.0 interior was incredible. Every person who sat in just got this look on their face, “damn, this car makes me look good.”

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

You could not sit in the RS. But it looked really, REALLY nice. This is going to be one hell of car.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The loaded full leather and wood Toyota Sienna was the silliest car of the show to me. As a parent, I cannot imagine who on earth would kit their minivan out like this.

Kinja'd!!!

The TRD/SEMA Highlander was baller. Totally not useable off road, but it looked the tits.

Kinja'd!!!

DUB put their personal touch on the RAV-4. Took this pic for my son. His type of thing.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The Audi R8 V-10 Plus. I personally thought this was the sexiest car of the show.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Second sexiest car in the show. The BMW M2 is gorgeous. Great lines.

Kinja'd!!!

The brakes on the M3 with Track Package. These really had to be seen up close to be fully appreciated. I spent a good 5 minutes just looking at them.

Kinja'd!!!

Range Rover Evoque. Coming to the Hamptons this summer.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The ATS-V and CTS-V cars from Cadillac. The ATS-V appeared to be pre-production.

Kinja'd!!!

640 or so HP. Crazy.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Cadillac had this CT-6 on display. I assume they are going after the S-class with this one. It was a looker. Cadillac has really stepped up their game over the past decade. Terribly impressed.

It was a decent show. Looking forward to warmer weather and the outdoor show scene. New car shows leave me cold.

I was there Saturday. It was crowded but overall I enjoyed it. Man the Alfa is such a good looking car.. Great pictures! I just got some boring cell phone shots.

I would not hesitate to kit a minivan with a fine interior. They can keep the wood, but leather cleans easily and real leather generally wears well with time. Some Weathertech mats and go!

That dark gray R8 is very business like for what it can do.

The St Louis auto show is basically the local dealers. Nothing amazing. I haven’t been in ten years. Maybe I should try again but it just doesn’t seem worth it.

I went Saturday as well. I got there as soon as it opened so the crowd wasn’t too bad. By the time I left it was getting pretty crazy. I only bothered taking one picture though, because I had never seen this color before and just found it to be incredible.
